Due to the small size of the study population, all the libraians were considered as the sample of the study. Out of 158 librarians, 127 volunteers participated in this survey to complete the questionnaire. The data collection tool was Ware & Sherbourne Questionnaire Short Form (SF36) which was analyzed by SPSS 18.0 software. Its reliability using Cronbach's alpha was 0.83. <strong>Findings:</strong> The results showed that physical activity and physical role played by librarians in public libraries of West Azarbaijan were higher and their mental health was lower than moderate level. The life quality of librarians in public libraries was fairly desirable in all cities of the province. Librarians quality of life in multi-ethnic- cities was higher than single-ethnic- ones and in kurdish area was higher than turkish ones. There was a significant relationship between librarians’ work experience and their quality of life. There was no significant relationship between their gender and field of study and their quality of life. <strong>Conclusions:</strong> Awareness of the physical and mental health of librarians and planning to improve their health would contribute to improving the quality of library services. The role of ethnic differences in the health status of librarians has been studied in this study. <strong>هدف: </strong>هدف پژوهش بررسی کیفیت زندگی کتابداران کتابخانه‌های عمومی استان آذربایجان غربی از نظر سلامت جسمی و روانی است.<br /> <strong>روش:</strong> جامعه پژوهش شامل تمامی کتابداران کتابخانه‌های عمومی آذربایجان غربی است که در زمان توزیع پرسش‌نامه در محل خدمت حضور داشته‌اند و در صورت تمایل پرسش‌نامه را تکمیل کرده‌اند. به‌علت کوچک‌بودن جامعه پژوهش، جامعه نمونه معادل جامعه پژوهش در نظر گرفته شد. از مجموع 158 نفر واجد شرایط تکمیل پرسش‌نامه 127 نفر به‌صورت داوطلبانه در این پیمایش مشارکت کردند. ابزار گردآوری داده‌ها، فرم کوتاه‌شده پرسش‌نامه استاندارد ویر و شربورن[1] بود که با استفاده از نرم‌افزار SPSS18 تجزیه و تحلیل شد. پایایی این ابزار با روش آلفای کرونباخ برابر 83/0 به‌دست آمد.<br /> <strong>یافته</strong><strong>‌ها</strong><strong>:</strong> یافته‌ها نشان داد عملکرد جسمانی و ایفای نقش جسمی کتابداران کتابخانه‌های عمومی آذربایجانغربی بیشتر از حد متوسط و سلامت روانی آنان در سطح کمتر از متوسط قرار دارد. کیفیت زندگی کتابداران کتابخانه‌های عمومی در تمام شهرهای استان نسبتاً مطلوب است. کیفیت زندگی کتابداران شهرهای چندقومیتی بیشتر از تک‌قومیتی و شهرهای کردنشین بیشتر از شهرهای ترک‌نشین است. بین سابقه خدمت کارکنان و وضعیت کیفیت زندگی آنان رابطه معناداری وجود دارد. بین جنس و رشته تحصیلی کارکنان با وضعیت کیفیت زندگی آنان رابطه‌ای وجود ندارد.<br /> <strong>نتیجه‌گیری:</strong> آگاهی از وضعیت سلامت جسمانی و روانی کتابداران و برنامه‌ریزی برای ارتقای سلامت آنان، به ارتقای کیفیت خدمات کتابخانه‌ای کمک شایانی خواهد کرد. در این مطالعه نقش تفاوت‌های قومیتی در وضعیت سلامت کتابداران بررسی شده است.<br /> <br clear="all" /><br /> <br /> [1].  Ware&SherbourneQuestionnaire Short Form (SF36) https://lis.aqr-libjournal.ir/article_48761_a3c01782bb0b9340ffbcdf8455cfdac1.pdf
